    Review From: Louth

This book is one of the best books I have ever read.Any one can read it,but I’d say that 8-12 year olds would be most interested. The detail in it is wonderful and the characters are quite good.I liked when Hermione was trying to teach Ron the Wingardiom leviosa spell and Ron really couldn’t do it then she did it like a professional.

You should REALLY read this book!

  • Book Title:   The Witches Child

    Book Author:   Arthur Yorinks

Age Group For This Book: 4 - 6

    Review From: Roscommon

Its about a witch who made her child out of straw and old pieces of her own hair. She tried to make it come alive but it didn’t come alive. She filled her room full of treats and toys with the wave of her wand but the girl didn’t come alive. The witch turned all the children into thorn bushes because her child didn’t come alive. The witch dumped the girl beside the bins. One night a girl came into the witches house and picked up the girl made of straw, brushed her hair, put a nice dress on her and picked some flowers out of the woods and put them on her dress. The witch came flying back and when she saw the girl her eyes turned red and she turned the fire on so she could eat the girl for supper. The straw girls heart started beating and she came alive and pulled the girl away so the witch fell into the fire…read the book to see what happens in the end.

  • Book Title:   A Pony In Trouble

    Book Author:   Jeanne Betancourt

    Review From: Galway

I thought this book was really good because there was pony who got sick but got better in the end. There were three girls named Pam, Anna and Lulu . They all had ponies . The names were Lightning, Acorn and Snow White. One day Lightning got sick. The three girls were so worried so they called Pam’s Dad. Pam’s Dad was a vet. When Pam’s Dad heard about it he rushed home. Pam’s Dad asked them a few questions. One night Pam couldn’t go a sleep so she stayed up watching Lightning. Then she saw girl feeding Lightning some apples. Pam scared the girl and that is what stopped her. Lightning was better once again.
