Harry Potter is very good because you never know what’s going to happen next. When I read it it feels like I’m there with them. If you want to escape somewhere magical read it.

JK Rowling has great imagination for writing the book and I enjoy the characters and creatures she creates, places she invents and the stories she creates around them.

    Castlecomer Library Junior Book Club
WE learned a lot about life in Afghanistan under the Taliban rule. WE had first to look up the map to see where it is!
For such a short book, there was a lot in the story. We learned what it would be like to live in such a confined space, out of your own home. How hard life was for Parvana and her family, some of whom didn’t leave the house for a year.
We saw the film too, which was good but not the very same as the book
